This sub group comprises members from the main Retired and Interested Persons group who have a particular interest in the hardware aspects of computing. For the year 2010, the next meeting is highlighted

Bill Dair and Kelvin Cording are the co-convenors of this sub group of the Retired and Interested Persons Interest Group. The aims of the sub group are summed up in its mission statement as follows:-
Members who are new to hardware can bring their defective machines and/or associated equipment to the meetings and the combined expertise of the group is brought to bear on the problems. It is an aim of the members to build up a set of replacement components so that a known good component of suitable type may be substituted for a dubious one. Assistance has been provided to
and many other small computer hardware enhancements have been satisfactorily completed.
Coffee breaks gives the opportunity for mebers to socialise and discuss common problems.
