The Mornington Peninsula Special Interest Group of the Melbourne PC User Group is a self-help group for all computer users which meets every month with additional meetings to cover special interests. Details of the immediate forthcoming meetings are listed below.
The additional meetings for special interests include meetings for new users as well as those interested in graphics, genealogy and Photoshop.

4th June  7.00 PM at Mornington Information Centre, cnr Main/Elizabeth Sts, Mornington.
This will be the last of the evening meetings. due to gradually declining attendence.  Day meetings will
continue as usual on the third Monday of each month.

  • Former president Charles Wright has been appointed interim president of MelbPC following the resignation of the new president elected at the AGM last year. Charles is well known for his weekly column in the Green Guide. See his new club president blog at Melbounre PC Conduit

  • The Powerpoint file on Calendar Making in MS Word, presented by Dennis Fryer on Nov.7 is now available for download (right click on above link and select Save link as (or similar)

  • There's a #MelbPC hashtag in use at Twitter. See what this means.
  • Microsoft's new System Sweeper beta creates a bootable CD to scan your computer for malware including rootkits. Make the CD before you have problems. Details on our Tips page
  • John Thompson's presentation on Computing in the cloud from the July evening meeting is now on this site together with Paul Egan's tutorial on the subject. You can also get to both from our general downloads page
  • A text file which details how to connect to the MelbPC Anytime/Anywhere SIG (aka the Newsgroups) has links to more detailed info on MelbPC site and to the form to get your free email address and username from MelbPC
