The Animation Special Interest Group

The purpose of this site is to inform members of meeting times, news and resources.

Aims of the Group

Computer technology is creating a convergence between live action cinema and animation.

The Animation Group provides an environment in which members can develop skills in story telling through the animation process.

To achieve this aim
- Members adopt the roles of both teachers and learners
- Outside experts are invited to address the group
- An animation knowledge base is being developed. This resource includes information about story development, the production process, and computer software and hardware.
- Members may decide to form production crews on chosen productions.

Even if your'e not a member of the Melbourne PC User Group, you are welcome to attend a couple of meetings before you pay your membership fee.
